Day 7

Oh thank goodness, Tyler's sleep schedule is back to normal.  The last couple of nights he hasn't wanted to sleep in his crib so we would bring him into the "big bed" with us until he falls asleep and then transfer him to the crib.  But then he would wake up in the middle of the night, stand up, arms outstretched, and when we pick him up he would point towards the door.  So back in the big bed he'd go.  Unfortunately for Mama, Tyler likes to steal her pillow so he would usually sprawl out on her pillow and she would sleep on a sliver of the bed trying not to fall off.

But tonight we got him into his jammies, took our family photo, read three stories, and then I held him for a rendition of "The Ants Go Marching" and he was out by "nine by nine."  He's sleeping peacefully in his crib, Mommy and Daddy are watching the Jimmy Fallon special, and Mommy's getting her daily blogging in.  Success!

Speaking of Jimmy Fallon, I have to admit I wasn't a fan when he was on "Saturday Night Live."  Maybe it's just me but I didn't think him breaking out of character was "cute," it was more obnoxious.  I liked him much better on Weekend Update, I thought he and Tina Fey made a great team!  Such chemistry, such camaraderie, such fun!  And then he decided to host his own late night show and I honestly did not think he would last very long.  I've never seen a full episode but every snippet I've caught has been hilarious.  Now that I'm watching his special I have to change my tune.  I might even love the guy.

You know who else I love?  Ryan.

I was being a pouty wife this morning.  We passed two Dutch Bros. and I really, really, really wanted coffee (we finished the season premiere of "Downton Abbey" last night and stayed up way too late doing it and then Tyler joined us in bed so I did not sleep well at all).  When I got to work I was not a happy lady.  About ten minutes later I get a text (and two emails) from him saying he was in the parking lot and that he had coffee for me.  He brought me a nonfat creme brulee latte from Starbucks.  Now that's love.

And then I felt bad all day for being such a grumpy wife.

I am so lucky.  I have the best husband.

And the best baby!

I think my favorite part of this series is that Ryan has the same facial expression in every picture.  Apparently I move too much and I've ruined many a group shots.  All I can say is that Tyler does the same thing.  Poor Daddy, he's got his hands full with the two of us!

Good night kiddoes.  I hope you all get to snuggle a loved one tonight.
